Brian McKenzie has served as the President and CEO since April 2019. Previously, Mr. McKenzie served as NuWave’s VP Finance and CFO from January 2018. Prior to joining NuWave, Mr. McKenzie served as Director of Finance for S.i. Systems Ltd, a privately held Canadian professional recruitment and staffing organization. Mr. McKenzie has also previously served as Director of Accounting for Sanjel Corporation, a privately held international oilfield service provider specializing in fracturing and cementing and as Director of Finance for Saxon Energy Services, a privately held international oilfield service provider specializing in land drilling. Before joining Saxon, Mr. McKenzie worked in public accounting at KPMG LLP. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Sr. Vice President
Paul Provencher has served as NuWave’s Senior Vice President since August 2018. Previously, Mr. Provencher served as VP U.S. Operations from July 2017. Prior to NuWave, he served as the General Manager for the Onsite Division at Secure-Energy Services. Prior to Secure, Mr. Provencher served for 15 years working with yellow iron with Caterpillar equipment. Mr. Provencher leads NuWave’s U.S. operations where he is able to apply his extensive experience in heavy equipment, mining, infrastructure, pipeline, demolition and environmental services.

Tim Sharp co-founded NuWave Industries in 2010 and has over 27 years of experience in the O&G services industry. Prior to NuWave, Mr. Sharp co-founded T&T Oilfield Services in 2002. Mr. Sharp began his career on a surveying crew new Fox Creek, Alberta, and went on to earn his Grade “B” Pressure Welder Certificate from the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA). Mr. Sharp was endorsed by the Red Seal Program in 1993. Mr. Sharp leads NuWave’s business development efforts, both in Canada and Internationally and continues to assist with new technology development and testing.
VP Canadian Operations and VP Research & Development, Co-Founder
Troy Illingworth co-founded NuWave Industries in 2010 and has over 27 years of experience in the O&G services industry. Prior to NuWave, Mr. Illingworth co-founded T&T Oilfield Services in 2002. Mr. Illingworth began his career as a welders helper and went on to earn his Grade “B” Pressure Welder Certificate from the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA). Mr. Illingworth was endorsed by the Red Seal Program in 1993. Mr. Illingworth heads NuWave’s Canadian Operations as well as leads NuWave’s ongoing research and development into new tools and technologies.
Kade Demuth currently serves as NuWave’s Executive Director. Previously, he served as NuWave’s CEO from February 2017 until April 2019. Mr. Demuth has over 26 years of experience in the O&G industry, during which he has founded several successful companies in the O&G equipment and services space. In 1993, Mr. Demuth started Tri-Central Hydro Trenching Inc., based in Lloydminster. Mr. Demuth also founded K-Tec Construction in 1997. K-Tec was renamed to Timberline Industries Inc., which merged to become SITE Energy Services Ltd. Mr. Demuth served as Vice President, North Division of SITE Energy Services for a five-year period.
Mick McNulty joined NuWave as a Director following a minority investment by PillarFour Capital in 2017. Mr. McNulty joined PillarFour as a Managing Partner in 2016 and has more than 40 years of management and operating experience in the Oilfield Services sector. Throughout his career, Mr. McNulty has been directly involved in the acquisition and integration of over 20 Oilfield Service companies. Prior to PillarFour, Mr. McNulty was the CFO at Calfrac Well Services (‘13–‘16). Prior thereto, Mr. McNulty served as CEO of Saxon Energy Services (‘09 –‘13) and as Senior VP and CFO (‘05–‘08). Mr. McNulty also held a number of roles at Precision Drilling (‘97 – ‘05), including VP, Finance and VP, Business Development. Mr. McNulty started his career at Schlumberger and Nowsco as Corp Controller. Mr. McNulty is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Paul Colucci joined NuWave as a Director following a minority investment by PillarFour Capital in 2017. Mr. Colucci co-founded PillarFour Capital in 2015 and has over 20 years experience investing and advising on M&A and corporate finance in the Energy sector. Prior to PillarFour, Mr. Colucci was the CEO of Dundee Corp’s London office and Dundee Arabia-Asia in the UAE ('11 - '15). Mr. Colucci spent the previous six years heading the European businesses of various Canadian and US investment banks. Prior to moving to London in 2006, Mr. Colucci worked as an investment banker in Calgary and Toronto where he was focused on coverage of the North American Energy sector. Mr. Colucci holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the Haskayne School of Business (University of Calgary) and is a CFA Charterholder.
